The Great Orme

The best views in Llandudno.

Including Britain’s only cable-hauled tramway climbing 1500 metres through the Country Park and Nature Reserve, a cable car system and many ways to reach the summit and Café on foot through a sprawling network of beautiful footpaths. There is plenty to explore here: an extraordinary copper mine with a 4000 year history, a ski-slope, crazy golf course, Happy Valley Park and walks to the sandy and scenic West Beach. An absolute must for anyone visiting Llandudno, you will never run out of things to do.

Llandudno Pier

Ice Cream and Fish & Chips.

Stretching 2295 feet (700m), the pier is the longest in Wales and the fifth longest in England and Wales. It has a variety of shops, funfair rides, amusement arcades and food outlets, not to mention beautiful views of Llandudno's coastline and town at the end. A great place to sit and eat an ice cream and take in the sea breeze.

Beaches

Sunbathing & Sandcastles.

The Penthouse by the Pier boasts 2 beaches within walking distance and several harbours and wildlife areas close by. The North Shore Beach is only 30 seconds walk from the apartment, with its pebble beach and long promenade bordering Llandudno town, perfect for morning strolls or taking the scenic route home after going shopping. At the opposite end of Llandudno is the West Beach's quiet and scenic sandy beach perfect for relaxing or playing in the sand with public toilets and a beach cafe, only 15 minutes walk from the apartment with breath-taking views across the water of Wales' majestic mountainous landscape. There is also Angel Bay, a 3 mile walk along the promenade alongside the Little Orme where you often see a variety of marine life, including a large seal colony.

Historic Sites

Education and immersion in Welsh culture.

You are spoilt for choice when it comes to Welsh history in North Wales, such as the royal Caernarfon Castle - a significant seat of power for centuries, or Conwy Castle - a medieval fortress towering over a beautiful medieval harbour and town. There are countless landmarks to explore all across the region with easy transportation via train or bus, and many within walking distance too! In Llandudno itself, there are strong ties to Lewis Carroll, the author of Alice in Wonderland, with several monuments to its characters dotted across the area to discover. It is impossible to go over everything as there is just so much to discover!
